ARCHER2 for software package users
This one-day course provides an introduction to using ARCHER2 for user who have already used other HPC systems and want to use pre-installed simulation/modelling packages rather than compiling their own.
12 January 2021 10:00 - 16:00
ARCHER2 for Software Developers
This two day course provides an introduction to using ARCHER2 for user who have already used other HPC systems and want to compile (and possibly) develop HPC software on ARCHER2.
14 - 15 January 2021 10:00 - 16:00
Software Carpentry
This course, taught over four morning sessions, helps scientists and engineers become more productive by teaching them basic computing skills like program design, version control, testing, and task automation.
18 - 21 January 2021 10:00 - 13:00
Understanding Package Performance
This course focuses on efficient use of centrally installed packages. It will take a holistic approach and cover tools and techniques to help researchers to improve their overall scientific productivity on large-scale HPC systems.
25th January 2021 10:00 - 16:00
Performance Optimisation on AMD EPYC
This course covers techniques for improving the performance of parallel applications by optimising of the code that runs within each node. We will cover techniques for efficient programming, using batch processing options and compiler options as well as hand tuning of code. The course will also contain an introduction to the use of Cray performance analysis tools.
