Experiences with porting CESM, or the Community Earth System Model, on ARCHER

The American climate model, namely CESM or the Community Earth System Model, has been ported to ARCHER and the associated installation files will soon be available to all ARCHER users.
This work was performed by the speaker under a eCSE project entitled "Porting and enabling the use of CESM, the Community Earth System Model on ARCHER", in conjunction with the School of GeoSciences of the University of Edinburgh.
The experience will be reported in this webinar, including wrangling massive codes; the extensive, expensive yet essential testing process; and a common issue when porting codes: the pull between users, who wish to employ a specific older version, and the code developers, who wish to focus their support on the most recent release.
