3. UK-RDF File Systems
The UK-RDF hosts a number of different file systems for different purposes. this section provides an overview of the different file systems and their use cases.
3.1 ARCHER File Systems: /epsrc, /nerc, /general
The ARCHER file systems are mounted on the login and post-processing nodes of the ARCHER national supercomputing facility as well as the UK-RDF DTNs and data analystic cluster.
These file systems are designed to allow:
- the easy transfer of data resulting from calculations on ARCHER to the UK-RDF for further analysis and/or wider sharing;
- the hosting of large data sets required on ARCHER;
- a wide range of different computational pipelines involving multiple resources.
